Our activities
Explore the different activities EyaLingo carries out.
From language documentation and publishing to food and fashion, EyaLingo explores the knowledge, creativity, and traditions that connect African communities.
Dictionary Projects
We document African languages through dictionaries, wordbooks, and audio resources to support learning and preserve shared knowledge.
Explore the Sango e-dictionary, or contact us about contributing language knowledge to a project.
Publishing
EyaLingo Publishing supports African voices through books, essays, translations, and research. We work with authors to develop meaningful publications and connect readers with the depth and diversity of African experiences. Explore our publishing process, browse the library, or introduce us to your manuscript.
Culinary
Our culinary corner showcases the flavors, recipes, ingredients, and food traditions that shape African identity. From community dishes to rare local ingredients, we explore the history, meaning, and creativity behind the meals that connect families and cultures.
Fashion
Fashion carries stories of identity, place, and belonging. We explore African textiles, traditional dress, contemporary design, and the patterns and techniques passed between generations.
YLEA's book Project
The YLEA Book Project is a collaborative initiative between Young Leaders Empowerment Action (YLEA) and EyaLingo aiming at bringing standardised study materials to underprivileged kids. Through this partnership, YLEA drives community impact while EyaLingo designs and produces academic books that support the project’s mission. Together, we use storytelling, education, and culture-centered content to inspire young minds and empower underserved communities.
